Detailing your car before selling it
Buyers and appraisers decide in the first minute. What they look at, what a pre-sale detail fixes, and when to book it relative to your listing photos.

First impressions do the pricing
A buyer opening the door decides in seconds whether the car was looked after. Stained seats, a smell, or dull paint make them assume the mechanicals were neglected too, and they negotiate accordingly. Appraisers work the same way.
What a pre-sale detail covers
A complete detail inside and out, with interior extraction and the paint decontaminated and sealed. Worth adding for a sale: odour removal if it needs it, an engine bay detail, a full body polish to bring back the gloss, and headlight restoration if the lenses are yellowed.
Book it before the photos
Listing photos are the first showing. Detail the vehicle first, photograph it the same day in good light, and the listing does more of the selling.
Don't oversell it
A detail makes a well-kept car look like one. It won't hide real damage, and it shouldn't. Disclose known issues, and let the condition of everything else make the case.
