1. The paint feels rough after a wash
Bonded contamination. Iron decon and clay remove it, and sealing afterward keeps it from coming straight back.
2. Water sits flat instead of beading
The protection is gone and the clear coat is exposed. Salt and sun go straight to the paint until it's sealed again.
3. A smell you can't place
Usually a spill that soaked into the carpet pad or seat foam. Air fresheners cover it for a day. Hot-water extraction removes the source.
4. Hazy glass and glare at night
Film on the inside of the windshield. It builds up slowly, so most drivers don't notice how bad it was until it's cleaned properly.
5. Stains and shine on the seats
Fabric stains and shiny, slick spots on leather are dirt and body oils worked into the surface. Cleaning and conditioning bring the material back and slow the wear.
If you're seeing two or more of these, a complete detail resets everything at once and usually costs less than booking the pieces separately.
